BMW Group has renewed its partnership with the Philipp Lahm Foundation for the EAGLES FOR EDUCATION initiative at the BMW International Open golf tournament. The program, running since 2009 in Munich, focuses on three pillars: physical activity, healthy eating, and personal development for children. For every eagle scored during the tournament, the foundation receives a €1,000 donation to fund the Philipp Lahm Summer Camps. Since 2025, BMW Group ambassadors have also engaged with the children, introducing them to mobility concepts through playful activities. These include wearing weighted vests to simulate the experience of being overweight and building models of future mobility solutions. Philipp Lahm, former German footballer and founder of the foundation, emphasized the importance of discovering individual strengths through play. Each summer camp hosts 80 children, and Lahm personally visits every session to interact with participants. The initiative aims to counter individualization by fostering shared experiences, empowering children for their futures. The press conference detailing the program is available in the Virtual Media Centre for editorial use.
