The PrePass Mile Marker 2026: The National Bypass Impact Index reveals that a single bypass method is not enough for fleets to maximize their savings. Using only one bypass method means fleets miss chances to skip weigh stations, resulting in lost time, fuel, and money. A dual approach, combining mobile app-based weigh station bypass and transponder-based screening, delivers broader coverage and supports predictable fleet operations. This approach helps fleets capture more bypass opportunities, resulting in significant savings. According to the index, a 200-truck fleet averaging 7 bypasses per truck per week could recover roughly 8,400 hours and save approximately $775,000 in annual operational costs. The PrePass Bypass combines mobile and transponder-based screening in a single solution, providing fleets with a reliable way to bypass weigh stations and reduce costs. With a dual approach, fleets can protect their returns and ensure that they capture the savings proposed by the benchmark. The PrePass technology enables safe, qualified motor carriers to bypass inspection facilities at highway speeds, saving them time, fuel, and money while reducing emissions. Over 105,000 fleets subscribe to PrePass services, which include bypass and tolling solutions, to regain control of toll costs and eliminate toll violations.
