McMurtry has officially teased the production version of its track-focused electric hypercar, the Spéirling Pure, ahead of its full debut next week. The British automaker plans to build just 100 examples of the fan-car hypercar, with deliveries scheduled to begin in the latter half of 2026. The Spéirling Pure packs over 1,000 horsepower, tips the scales at 2,860 pounds, and can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 1.55 seconds. Its headline-grabbing feature remains the massive underfloor fan setup, which generates up to 4,400 pounds of downforce at a standstill—enough to theoretically drive the car upside down. McMurtry claims the hypercar can handle 3g of cornering force, reach a top speed of 190 mph, and accommodate drivers up to 6’5″ tall. The Spéirling Pure is also eligible for multiple US and European racing series, with optional factory support for competitive outings. On track, the car can run for up to 20 minutes at full GT3 race pace before requiring a recharge of its 100.0-kWh battery pack. A 350-kW charger can replenish the battery in just 25 minutes. McMurtry has set an asking price of £995,000 (over $1.3 million at current exchange rates) before destination and handling fees. The automaker has released a teaser image of the Spéirling Pure, showcasing its aggressive, fan-car silhouette, but has yet to reveal full production specifications—including the interior layout, which is expected to be a secondary concern given the car’s physics-defying capabilities. The Spéirling Pure joins a growing list of extreme electric hypercars, but its combination of track-focused engineering, fan-assisted aerodynamics, and limited production run positions it as a true engineering marvel. McMurtry’s fan-car concept, first introduced in its track-only predecessor, has already redefined expectations for road-going passenger cars, and the production version aims to bring that same level of performance to a select group of buyers.
