The 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing, a high-performance midsize luxury sedan with a manual option, has seen its value drop below the current average new-car price in the U.S. after four years on the market. Kelley Blue Book reports the national average fair purchase price for a 2022 CT4-V Blackwing now stands at $48,500, down from its original $60,390 MSRP in 2022. This puts it $720 below the current average new-car purchase price of $49,220 (as of May 2026).

For comparison, a new Toyota GR Corolla Premium Plus—equipped with half the cylinders, half the turbos, and roughly half the luxury—lists for a similar $48,500 before dealer markups. A new 2026 CT4-V Blackwing, if you can still find one, carries a $65,395 sticker price. Cross-referencing J.D.

Power data shows a slightly higher current valuation of $50,620. On AutoTrader, 28 listings for the 2022 model range from the low-$40,000s to the $60,000 range, depending on mileage and condition. The CT4-V Blackwing remains a standout in Cadillac’s lineup, powered by a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 producing 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque, sent to the rear wheels.
Buyers can choose between a 10-speed automatic or a six-speed manual Tremec TR-6060—the same gearbox found in many modern American performance cars. Critical reception has been overwhelmingly positive; former Jalopnik editor Rory Carroll called it “absurdly, monumentally good” in 2021, while another reviewer noted the standard CT4-V paled in comparison to its Blackwing sibling. Beyond performance, the Blackwing badge alone carries undeniable cool factor.
