South Korean tire manufacturer Nexen Tire has completed a major expansion of its automated finished-goods warehouse at its Zatec, Czech Republic plant, increasing storage capacity by 57% to support faster regional deliveries across Europe. The new facility, built with a total floor area of 7,104 square meters and a height of 51 meters, now holds approximately 830,000 tire units—up from around 530,000—enabling Nexen to implement a just-in-time supply system for European customers. The expansion follows a 2024 site expansion that doubled annual production capacity at the European facility to 10 million units per year. Nexen began operations in Zatec in 2019 and has since invested in phased capacity increases to meet rising demand within Europe. The company stated that the expanded warehouse will improve production and logistics efficiency, secure supply stability, and enhance responsiveness to seasonal demand fluctuations across the European market.
