Maserati has rolled out a modest 2027 refresh for three of its core models—the Grecale SUV, the GranTurismo coupe, and the GranCabrio convertible—with subtle styling tweaks and minor mechanical updates that stop short of a full redesign. The changes are so understated that the Italian brand itself jokes they might go unnoticed, continuing a pattern of incremental updates rather than bold transformations. The Grecale, the brand’s most accessible model, receives a revised front bumper with integrated air intakes and a blockier grille design to better align with the refreshed GranTurismo and GranCabrio. Inside, Maserati claims all “contact points between driver and car have been renewed,” though the brand hasn’t released any interior photos to illustrate the changes. Instead, the press materials highlight a new steering wheel with an octagonal shape and a six o’clock spoke, a redesigned digital clock with a metal bezel and pop-up mode changes, and a shift to physical button gear selectors positioned between the dual center screens.

Under the hood, the Grecale drops its base four-cylinder engine in the U.S. for 2027, making the 385-horsepower twin-turbo V6 the new entry-level powertrain. The electric Folgore variant returns with a slightly improved maximum range of 268 miles, up from 239 miles in the 2026 model, with efficiency gains varying by wheel size—ranging from an extra six miles on 20-inch wheels to 33 miles on 21-inchers. The Trofeo trim still sprints to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds, a figure Maserati appears eager to remind buyers about. The GranTurismo coupe and GranCabrio convertible follow suit with similar front-end redesigns, including revised taillight lenses. Maserati emphasizes that both models “evolve in the areas that most influence the feeling behind the wheel,” which translates to retuned engines, transmissions, and a new exhaust system for internal-combustion models to enhance their signature sound.

The base V6 in these models now makes 483 horsepower, while the Trofeo trim receives a 20-horsepower bump to 582 horsepower. The top-tier tri-motor Folgore variant cranks out 751 horsepower and is claimed to offer a range of “more than 250 miles,” though the EPA has yet to confirm official figures. Interior updates across all three models include the same octagonal steering wheel, physical gear selector buttons, and a refreshed digital clock—now with a metal bezel and pop-up function for mode changes. Additional display graphics have also been updated, though Maserati has yet to release any cabin photos to showcase these changes. Pricing for the 2027 models hasn’t been disclosed, but the GranTurismo and GranCabrio already command six-figure sums, with the convertible likely pushing well beyond $200,000.

Whether these minor refinements will be enough to reverse Maserati’s recent sales decline remains an open question, especially as the brand continues to rely heavily on high-margin customization programs like Fuoriserie to drive profitability.
