A rare 1972 Dodge Charger, one of only two known to still exist with a 440 Six Pack V8 from the factory, has been discovered in a garage after being buried under junk for decades. The car, which originally belonged to a Chrysler executive, was sold and turned into a race car, with its original engine and much of its original equipment lost or modified. Despite being featured in magazines in 2009 and 2015, the car remained in storage until it was recently purchased by a new owner, who is now restoring it to its original configuration, including the installation of a 440 Six Pack engine. The 440 Six Pack option was only available for a brief period in 1971, before being cancelled due to emission control difficulties, making this car a highly rare and valuable find. The restoration process is being documented by the Auto Archeology YouTube channel, giving viewers a unique look at the process of bringing this historic car back to life.
