BMW has lifted the camouflage on its M Concept Neue Klasse, giving the world its first clear look at the electric M3’s radical new face—and it’s a knockout.
Unveiled at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the concept previews the design language for the upcoming 1,000-horsepower electric M3, blending aggressive proportions with futuristic details that scream performance.

The shark-nosed front end, complete with oversized kidney grilles and BMW’s new yellow LED lighting signature, is a direct preview of the production car’s look, right down to the funky air outlet integrated into the hood’s “V” shape.
The trimaran-style bumper, flanked by BMW’s new Track Lights, adds a nautical twist to the M3’s aggressive stance, while the split ducktail spoiler and massive diffuser at the rear enhance downforce and aero efficiency.
Inside, the M Concept Neue Klasse borrows heavily from the new i3, featuring a trapezoidal center infotainment screen and a panoramic driver’s display, all wrapped in a driver-focused cockpit.

The seats, upholstered in Bathurst Blue and Berry Red leather with red five-point belts, are as aggressive as the exterior, while bright red accents on the gear shifter, steering wheel, and shift paddles add a racing-inspired flair.

The floating dashboard, finished in black knit material with a hexagonal backlight pattern, contrasts with the nubuck leather-wrapped steering wheel and door panels.

Under the skin, the M Concept Neue Klasse runs on an 800-volt platform with a battery pack exceeding 100 kWh, paired with four motors—one for each wheel—delivering over 1,000 horsepower.
While BMW stops short of confirming exact power figures, the concept makes it clear that the electric M3 will be a technological and visual tour de force. For those who crave innovation, this is BMW’s boldest statement yet. For traditionalists, don’t worry—the inline-six M3 is still on the menu.
