Yamaha is rolling out its first-ever Ténéré Trek Owner’s Rally, a four-day gathering for adventure and dual-sport riders taking place August 6–9 at Tamarack Resort near Donnelly, Idaho. The event is capped at 200 participants and open exclusively to owners of Yamaha adventure and dual-sport bikes displacing 250cc or more—sorry, WR125R riders. Registration is open now. Each rider must bring a GPS device and an SOS satellite communicator.
The $250 entry fee covers three hosted dinners, commemorative swag, on-site riding seminars, training sessions, sponsor product demos, and a first look at the upcoming 2026 Yamaha Ténéré 700 World Raid. According to Yamaha Experiential Marketing Manager Jennifer Davie, the rally was born from the grassroots enthusiasm around the Ténéré 700 since it hit U.S. showrooms in mid-2020. “The Ténéré 700 has built a proud and passionate following through its capability across a wide range of roads and trails,” Davie said. “We built the Ténéré Trek to give back to those passionate owners, and bring the community together in an incredible setting to celebrate what makes adventure riding special.” Tamarack Resort sits 100 miles north of Boise, straddling Lake Cascade across from Donnelly, a small Valley County town of a few hundred people.

The base sits at roughly 5,000 feet elevation with Lake Cascade visible to the east and the rugged West Mountains rising behind the resort. While Tamarack is best known for skiing, golf, boating, cycling, and spa activities, the real draw for adventure riders is the terrain beyond.

The adjacent Payette National Forest spans more than 2.3 million acres and is crisscrossed by everything from hard-packed dirt roads to full-on 4×4 tracks. The area sees far less traffic than the better-known Sawtooth Valley to the east and connects to some of the most remote riding in the lower 48 states.
Nearby McCall, 20 miles north, offers lodging options for riders arriving early or extending their stay. The rally schedule includes live entertainment, group activities, and raffles, with more surprises to be announced.

Non-riders can join for a $50 fee. Yamaha has negotiated discounted lodging rates at the 3-star Tamarack Resort.

For those avoiding resort amenities, Yamaha has reserved spots at lakeside Curlew Campground (two miles north) and Osprey Point Group Yurts (three miles south).
