New Hero VIDA UBX Electric Motorcycle Evolving from the earlier UBEX concept, the VIDA UBX previews an urban electric motorcycle with USD forks, a digital display and more road-ready detailing Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility brand VIDA has unveiled the UBX at EICMA 2026, presenting a further evolution of its urban electric motorcycle project. Described as a “proto-vehicle” and a “neo-naked urban explorer”, the motorcycle appears more developed than the earlier UBEX concept.

From UBEX Concept To UBX Prototype The new unveiling follows our earlier report on an Indian design registration resembling a more production-oriented version of the UBEX concept. That filing retained the streetfighter silhouette but showed conventional telescopic forks instead of the concept’s USD units.
New Hero VIDA UBX Electric Motorcycle The latest UBX prototype takes a different approach, retaining gold-finished upside-down forks while introducing revised bodywork and more detailed components. It also features a sculpted silver-finished swingarm, contrasting with the tubular arrangement seen in the earlier patent drawings.
Hero now uses the UBX name while the images show motorcycle carries “UBX 06” and “UBX 06 Pro” markings. Sharp Styling With Practical Details The UBX retains an aggressive naked-bike profile, with a compact front end, raised tail and exposed frame sections.

Red upper bodywork carries large VIDA lettering, while grey side panels feature contour-map-style graphics. New Hero VIDA UBX Electric Motorcycle At the front, a central projector lamp sits within a distinctive illuminated outline.

Its angular housing extends into a short beak-like section, giving the motorcycle a different face from conventional roadsters. A long single-piece seat includes a raised pillion section, accompanied by split grab handles.

Handguards, conventional mirrors, separate indicators and a rear wheel-mounted plate holder add functional details to the prototype. New Hero VIDA UBX Electric Motorcycle The tank-shaped upper enclosure also features a keyed lock with “vault open” lettering, suggesting provision for an accessible compartment.

Its purpose and capacity have not been confirmed. Large Battery Enclosure, Chain Drive A substantial finned enclosure occupies the centre and lower portion of the motorcycle.

Sculpted side panels carry “Air Duct” markings, indicating that airflow management forms part of the design. New Hero VIDA UBX Electric Motorcycle A motor assembly is visible near the swingarm pivot, with chain drive to the rear wheel.

However, VIDA has not disclosed the battery capacity, motor output, cooling-system specifications or charging arrangement. The size of the enclosure alone does not establish battery capacity or riding range.

Likewise, the prototype’s performance positioning remains unclear without power, weight and speed figures. New Hero VIDA UBX Electric Motorcycle USD Forks, Monoshock And Disc Brakes Visible chassis hardware includes USD front forks, a rear monoshock and alloy wheels with road-oriented tyres.
The red-and-black wheel finish matches the upper bodywork. Disc brakes are fitted at both ends, and a front ABS tone ring is visible.

Full braking specifications, including ABS configuration, remain awaited. The photographs also show a belly pan, rear tyre hugger and detailed swingarm construction.

Wheel sizes, suspension travel, seat height and kerb weight have not been announced. New Hero VIDA UBX Electric Motorcycle Digital Cockpit Hints At More Features A large colour instrument display shows speed, battery charge, estimated remaining range and a “Custom 2” setting.
The switchgear includes a mode button, parking control and cruise-control-style markings. The display shows 134 km of remaining range at 80% charge, suggesting roughly 168 km on a full charge. Launch is expected sometime in 2027.
