Continental ContiTour tires were put to the test on a 1999 Harley-Davidson 883 Sportster XLH with a Stage II Screamin’ Eagle kit.

Continental ContiTour Long-Term Tire Test

The tires were tested for 6,575 miles, with the front tire still having plenty of tread left, but the rear tire’s tread centerline had begun to show the cords.

The ContiTour tires performed well in terms of grip and handling, both wet and dry, but their service life was merely ordinary, with the rear tire wearing out well ahead of the front.

The ContiTour is a comfortable, confident cruiser tire that’s worth it for riders who want ride quality and predictable handling on a middleweight cruiser more than maximum miles per dollar.
