BYD has officially opened blind orders for the second-generation Seal 07, following its initial appearance in regulatory filings on August 7th. The redesigned sedan follows the Ocean Aesthetics 2.0 design language, mirroring the styling cues of the Seal 08. At the front, it features wave-shaped split headlights and a closed grille, while the roof-mounted LiDAR unit points to the inclusion of BYD’s God’s Eye B advanced driver-assistance system. The rear adopts a full-width taillight design inherited from the Seal 08.
Exterior color choices include Pala Green, Aurora Pink, Sea Mist Purple, Liuguang Silver, Snow White, and Obsidian Black. Measuring up in size, the second-gen model stretches 5,080 mm long, 1,960 mm wide, and 1,495 mm high, boasting a 2,960 mm wheelbase that expands cabin room compared to the outgoing version’s 4,995 mm length, 1,910 mm width, and 2,900 mm wheelbase (height remains identical at 1,495 mm). Inside, the cabin gets BYD’s latest layout featuring a floating central display, a digital instrument cluster, a redesigned three-spoke steering wheel, revised air vents, and updated center console trim. Front-center console amenities retain wireless phone charging and a dual cup holder setup.

Cabin color palettes consist of Yunxi White, Phantom Grey, and Ningye Purple, complemented by a 20-speaker audio system. Seating comprises zero-gravity front seats equipped with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, paired with a large sofa-style rear bench. Cargo capacity includes a 618-liter trunk and a 160-liter front trunk. Under the skin, two powertrain variants are available.

The plug-in hybrid couples a 1.5T turbocharged engine outputting 115 kW with a 160 kW (215 HP) drive motor, paired to a 38 kWh battery pack that delivers a WLTC electric range of 245 km. Meanwhile, the battery-electric version relies on a single drive motor generating a peak output of 300 kW (402 HP), offering up to 718 km of WLTP range.
