The 37th edition of the BMW International Open tees off July 1–5, 2026, at Golfclub München Eichenried, marking 37 years under the same title sponsor. BMW has been the tournament’s organiser since 1989, making it the longest-running event on the DP World Tour with an unchanged name and partner. The BMW Golf Cup, the marque’s flagship amateur series, traces its roots back to 1982. This year’s prize fund hits three million US dollars for the first time, with the winner collecting 510,000 US dollars.
The BMW Group is also donating €1,000 per eagle to the Philipp Lahm Foundation for Sport and Education, continuing the “Eagles for Education” initiative that raised €73,000 in 2025. The foundation’s mission is to give children and young people access to education in exercise, nutrition, and personal development. On Saturday, July 4, the 18th green becomes a long-drive arena for “Launch Control,” featuring a head-to-head between 2022 Long Drive World Champion Martin Borgmeier (Germany) and 2025 World Champion Zack Holton (USA), with free admission from 4 p.m. after the third round concludes around 5:30 p.m. The player field includes defending champion Dan Brown (England), Sergio García (Spain), Pablo Larrazábal (Spain, two-time winner), Thriston Lawrence (South Africa, 2023 champion), Ewen Ferguson (Scotland, 2024 champion), and 2008 winner Martin Kaymer.

American Brad Dalke, whose golf videos have racked up millions of views on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, will make his European debut as a wild-card entry. The Pro-Am tournament kicks off on Wednesday, July 1. TV times and ticketing details are available via the official DP World Tour entry list. The BMW International Open remains a cornerstone of BMW’s global golf portfolio and a key fixture on the European Tour calendar.
