Ducati has expanded its adventure motorcycle lineup with the introduction of the 2027 Ducati DesertX Rally, priced at an MSRP of $19,995. Under the bodywork, the DesertX Rally retains the 890cc V2 twin engine from its sibling, pumping out 108 horsepower and 68 pounds-foot of torque. An optional Termignoni exhaust is available for riders looking to squeeze out extra performance. The motorcycle shares the same frame, styling, and 4.76-gallon fuel tank, along with compatibility for the optional extra 2-gallon reserve tank.
Where the DesertX Rally sets itself apart is in its heavy-duty off-road hardware. It features an all-new suspension setup utilizing a 48 mm closed-cartridge KYB front fork that delivers nearly 10 inches of wheel travel. The fork is fully adjustable for compression and rebound via quick-adjustment mechanisms designed for rapid trackside tuning, and benefits from a Kashima DLC coating for smoother stroke action. An Öhlins adjustable steering damper comes standard.
At the rear, the bike uses a KYB monoshock paired with a Full Floater linkage system, delivering nearly 10 inches of travel as well. The rear unit is fully adjustable for high- and low-speed compression, rebound, and preload. Rolling stock consists of 21-inch front and 18-inch rear Takasago Excel wheels wrapped in tubeless Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires, built for reduced weight, increased strength, and easier flat repairs on the trail.
