Renault India has officially kicked off customer deliveries for the Duster Strong Hybrid E-Tech 160, exactly three weeks after its market launch on October 17, 2026. The strong-hybrid SUV carries an ex-showroom price starting from Rs 16.99 lakh. The milestone first delivery took place at Renault’s newly opened flagship showroom in HITEC City, Hyderabad, where T Krishna Gopal, CEO of Eduzi Academy, received the keys from Francisco Hidalgo, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Renault Group India. According to the automaker, Hyderabad ranks among the top cities in the country for hybrid bookings, though total booking figures remain under wraps.

The Duster Hybrid lineup is structured across three trim levels: the entry-level Evolution priced at Rs 16.99 lakh, the mid-tier Techno at Rs 18.99 lakh, and the top-end Emotion at Rs 19.49 lakh (all ex-showroom). In the domestic market, the SUV goes head-to-head against strong-hybrid competitors like the Maruti Grand Vitara, Maruti Victoris, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.

Beneath the skin, the Duster Strong Hybrid E-Tech 160 pairs a 1.8-litre Atkinson-cycle petrol engine with dual electric motors and a 1.4 kWh battery pack, generating a combined system output of 160 PS. Power goes to the wheels via a multi-mode automatic transmission. The powertrain delivers an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 29 km/l, with Renault quoting a maximum driving range of up to 1,400 km on a single tank. The manufacturer also highlights that the vehicle can handle up to 80% of city driving in pure electric mode under optimal conditions. Additional touches include frequency-dependent dampers, an illuminated front grille, and refreshed interior color themes. Buyers are backed by a 7-year vehicle warranty alongside an 8-year or 1.6 lakh km battery warranty.

To mark the delivery rollout, Renault inaugurated its largest Indian showroom to date, located in Hyderabad’s HITEC City. Spanning 7,000 square feet with space to showcase eight cars, the facility marks the brand’s 30th new’R format showroom nationwide. Run in collaboration with the VVC Group, it stands as the group’s third Renault showroom in the city alongside two workshops. Renault is actively overhauling its retail footprint to the new’R identity, aiming to convert all 73 showrooms across India’s top 24 cities by July 2027. These urban markets generate nearly half of Renault India’s total sales, with 30 locations already transitioned.
