At EICMA 2026, Italian manufacturer Fantic unveiled the Caballero 500 Supermoto, a bike that challenges the traditional supermoto definition. The machine sports a 19‑inch front wheel and a 17‑inch rear, both fitted with Metzeler Tourance Next 2 adventure‑touring tires instead of the sticky rubber usually found on supermotos. Under the hood sits a 460‑cc liquid‑cooled single‑cylinder engine that delivers 45 HP at 8,000 rpm and 31.3 lb‑ft of torque at 7,000 rpm. It is mated to a six‑speed gearbox, a slipper clutch and a ride‑by‑wire throttle, and is equipped with cornering ABS, traction control and selectable riding modes. The suspension is fully adjustable, featuring a 43‑mm inverted fork and a matching rear shock that together provide 7.9 inches of travel. A 320‑mm front brake disc handles stopping duties, and the bike weighs 331 lb dry. The seat height is 33.9 inches and the fuel tank holds 3.2 gal. The Caballero 500 Supermoto is slated to arrive in Italy in April 2027 at a price of €7,290 (about $8,000). US availability has not yet been announced.
