Bentley has refreshed the Flying Spur sedan, aligning its front-end design with the Continental GT by swapping its iconic quad headlights for single-unit units on each side. The move breaks a 64-year tradition of quad headlights on Bentley’s four-door models, though the new look is clean and cohesive. The refreshed Flying Spur also introduces a new ‘S’ trim, reviving a nameplate last seen on the Continental GT S.

This model pairs the Performance Active Chassis from the Speed variants with the powertrain of the base Flying Spur, which remains no slouch: a plug-in hybrid twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 mated to a Porsche-supplied PDK dual-clutch transmission, electric limited-slip differential, and all-wheel drive. The Flying Spur S cranks out 671 horsepower and 686 pound-feet of torque—128 hp more than its predecessor—allowing it to sprint from 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 191 mph. The Performance Active Chassis brings twin valve dampers, torque vectoring, and a 48-volt Bentley Dynamic Ride active anti-roll system, keeping body roll in check without sacrificing feel during spirited cornering.

Visual cues for the ‘S’ trim include a dark lower front bumper, gloss block matrix grilles, black Bentley wings, Beluga mirror caps, sill extensions, dark-tinted headlights and taillights, and special tailpipe finishers. The interior remains largely unchanged, retaining the opulent, near-decadelong design that Bentley claims is second to none. For those seeking the ultimate in cabin luxury, Bentley is offering a new top-tier stereo system developed in collaboration with Naim for the Mulliner Virtuoso collection.

Priced at £25,000 (approximately $34,000), the system features 21 speakers derived from Focal’s Grand Utopia line, including patented ‘M’ cone tweeters and midrange drivers designed for rigidity, lightness, and damping. Bentley touts it as delivering the “most immersive audio experience to date,” with enhanced fidelity, frequency response, and minimal distortion. The refreshed Flying Spur is available for order now, with deliveries expected in the fourth quarter of the year.
