A Lucid Air owner says he waited four months for a tire and service appointment, only to have it delayed further by a backed-up service center. The owner, Sherriel Sullivan, called in July 2026 to schedule new tires and annual service for his 2023 Lucid Air Pure AWD when it had 33,000 miles. His first available appointment at the Tysons Corner, Virginia, service center was set for November 3. He was later told the location was backed up, pushing his appointment to November 30, by which point his car would have about 41,000 miles. Other owners in the Lucid Owners Club on Facebook pointed out that he does not need to wait for Lucid to change his tires, noting that any reputable shop with EV experience can handle the job as long as they match the correct size and load rating. Community members shared that the true challenge lies in scheduled service that only Lucid can perform, such as cabin filter replacements and annual checkpoints. For tires, owners recommended matching specifications like the 245/45R19 size for 19-inch wheels, ensuring the load index matches the heavy EV requirements, and considering noise-reducing foam features found in OEM tires like the Pirelli P Zero AS Plus Elect. When visiting a local shop, owners advised confirming proper lift points, EV experience, TPMS sensor care, and alignment checks. For scheduled maintenance, Lucid recommends a service checkpoint every year or 12,000 miles, and brake fluid replacement every two years or 24,000 miles. Owners facing long service center waits can ask about Lucid’s Mobile Service, which handles minor tire services and cabin air filters, book well in advance, check other service locations, or request placement on a cancellation list.
