Bajaj is gearing up to give its iconic Pulsar 220 a major new-gen treatment following massive and enduring demand from enthusiasts that previously forced the company to bring the model back after a brief discontinuation.
During a recent media QnA in Pune, Bajaj confirmed the upcoming generation change for the Pulsar 220, expected to arrive in early 2027 following the launch of their upcoming ADV.

While exact timelines remain unconfirmed, the new-gen Pulsar 220 will follow the ethos of recent updates seen on the Classic Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 125.
The upcoming motorcycle is slated to feature a revised chassis with a Diamond-type tubular frame utilizing the engine as a stressed member, an all-new upgraded 220cc oil-cooled engine, an electronic throttle body with ride-by-wire, mono-shock rear suspension, radial rear tyres, new switchgear, and a TFT instrument cluster equipped with Google Maps, document storage, music control, and a lap timer.

Updates may also potentially bring a 6-speed gearbox and USD front forks to replace the current 5-speed setup, while retaining clip-on handlebars and the recognizable semi-fairing fascia with all-LED lighting.
Meanwhile, Bajaj has officially confirmed that the Pulsar 180 will not receive any upgrades due to a lack of demand in the 180cc displacement segment.

Similarly, the Pulsar F250 will not receive the upgrade package launched on the Pulsar N250 SS, also slipping through the cracks due to lower market demand.
