New Tire Capacity on the Way Amid Market Uncertainty

Despite market uncertainty, global tire production projects and expansions are progressing. Three Chinese tire makers and one Japanese company are moving ahead with new facilities in Asia, Africa, and North America. Long March Tyres plans to build a dedicated passenger car radial tire facility in Pakistan, while Zhongce Rubber Group is investing in a new tire production facility in Vietnam. Shandong Linglong Tire is in talks with Egypt’s Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade to establish a $2 billion integrated tire manufacturing complex. Toyo Tire Corp. is considering establishing a new truck and bus tire production facility in North America. The projects aim to increase production capacity, improve competitiveness, and navigate global trade frictions.
