Shandong Chenhong Chemical Technology Co., a Chinese chemicals producer based in Weifang, Shandong province, has launched a new project to expand its rubber additives production capacity. The expansion will add 3,000 tonnes per year of rubber additives and 1,000 tonnes per year of glycourea, bringing the company’s total annual capacity to these levels once the project is completed. The initiative has entered the public consultation phase of China’s environmental impact assessment (EIA) approval process, as confirmed by a recent notice. The new facilities will be built within Chenhong Chemical’s existing manufacturing site in the Changyi Binhai (Xiaying) Economic Development Zone in Weifang. The project involves renovating idle land, production workshops, tank storage, and supporting infrastructure at the plant. Established in 2013, Shandong Chenhong Chemical Technology Co. specializes in rubber accelerators, nitrososulfate, dyeing and printing auxiliaries, pharmaceutical ingredients, and chemical intermediates.
