Spanish elastomer specialist Dynasol Elastomeros is spearheading the development of new high-flow hydrogenated thermoplastic elastomers as part of its ‘HFLOWTPE project’. The initiative targets improved processing properties, enhanced flow characteristics, and superior mechanical performance for higher-value applications. The project centers on the design and optimization of new SEBS (styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene) grades, aligning with Dynasol’s broader innovation strategy to broaden the application portfolio of thermoplastic elastomers. The company states the materials are being engineered to create more competitive products while advancing sustainability and circular economy goals, including the potential replacement of less environmentally friendly alternatives. The HFLOWTPE project is backed by the Innova Cantabria 2024 programme and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
