Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how MotorHub.news (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects personal data when you visit motorhub.news (the “Site”).

1. Who we are

MotorHub.news is an independent multilingual automotive media project operated online. For privacy matters, contact privacy@motorhub.news.

2. What data we collect

We may collect:

  • Usage data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, time spent, referring URL (server and CDN logs).
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 5 and our cookie consent tool.
  • Contact data: name and email if you write to us.
  • Analytics data: via tools such as Google Analytics (where enabled).
  • Advertising data: if ads are shown (e.g. Google AdSense), partners may process data as described in their policies.

3. How we use your data

  • Operate, secure, and improve the Site.
  • Respond to inquiries.
  • Measure traffic and content performance.
  • Show advertising where enabled.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal bases (GDPR / EEA)

Where GDPR applies, we may rely on: consent (cookies / non-essential tracking); legitimate interests (security, basic analytics, improving content); and legal obligation.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for preferences, traffic measurement, and — where enabled — advertising. You can manage preferences via our cookie consent banner and in your browser settings.

6. Third parties

We may share data with hosting providers, analytics providers (e.g. Google Analytics), advertising partners (e.g. Google AdSense), and email when you contact us. We do not sell your personal data.

7. Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact privacy@motorhub.news.

What we can actually do on MotorHub.news: the Site has no user accounts and no profile database. Identifiable personal data we can act on is mainly what you send us by email (and related mailbox records). We can delete or anonymise that correspondence on request after reasonable identity checks.

Routine visit logs, CDN logs, and analytics are typically short-lived, aggregated, or not linked to a named profile. If we cannot reasonably identify your records in those systems, we will tell you so — selective “delete my anonymous browsing history” is not something the Site is built to offer. You can also clear cookies in your browser and manage consent via the cookie banner. Where a processor (for example Google Analytics or an ad partner) holds data under their own terms, we can help route a request where applicable.

9. International transfers

Data may be processed outside your country (including by global service providers). We take steps to protect it appropriately.

10. Children

The Site is a general-audience automotive publication and is not directed at children under 16. We do not ask for age, date of birth, or parental consent, and we do not knowingly solicit personal data from children.

Because there is no age gate, we cannot verify visitors’ ages. If we learn that a child under 16 has sent us identifiable personal data (for example by email), we will delete that data from our reachable records. Parents or guardians may contact privacy@motorhub.news.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change accordingly.
