VinFast has slashed the price of its VF MPV 7 electric MPV in India by Rs 4.1 lakh, bringing the new ex-showroom price down to Rs 20.39 lakh from its April 2026 launch price of Rs 24.49 lakh. The updated price is now reflected on VinFast’s official website.
Launched on April 15th, 2026, to compete against the BYD eMax 7, the 7-seater EV faced slow sales following its initial introduction under the One India, One Price tagline.

During H1 FY2027 (April–September 2026), the VF MPV 7 recorded 520 units sold, accounting for 3.91% of VinFast’s total Indian sales of 13,307 units.

By comparison, the commercial-focused Limo Green led with 7,192 units (54.05% share), followed by the VF7 with 3,519 units and the VF6 with 2,076 units.
VinFast currently ranks as India’s 4th best-selling electric car manufacturer, selling 2,964 units in September 2026 behind JSW MG Motor, Mahindra Auto, and Tata Motors.

For context in the current market, rival 7-seater EVs include the Mahindra XEV 9S starting from Rs 20.65 lakh, the MG Tomahawk EV starting from Rs 19.49 lakh, and the imported BYD eMax 7 starting from Rs 27.9 lakh (all ex-showroom). The VF MPV 7 measures 4,740 mm in length with a 2,840 mm wheelbase.

Its minimalist exterior features a large window area, while the interior offers two theme options, a three-row seating arrangement for up to 7 occupants, and a 10.1-inch central touchscreen. Boot space measures 126 liters with all three rows up, expanding to 1,240 liters. Power comes from a 60.13 kWh battery pack paired with a 204 PS and 280 Nm electric motor.
VinFast claims a range of 517 km on a single charge, a 10%-70% state of charge in 30 minutes using a compatible DC charger, and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of under 9 seconds.
