Mahindra is gearing up for a major product blitz, with Automotive Sector CEO Rajesh Jejurikar confirming three new vehicle launches slated for the first half of 2027 during the Q2 FY27 media briefing. Alongside these fresh models, the automaker will introduce updates to an existing vehicle and roll out a new light commercial vehicle by June 2027, while aggressively scaling up its manufacturing capabilities to tackle surging demand. The upcoming lineup kicks off with the production version of the Vision S concept, marking the debut SUV on Mahindra’s versatile NU_IQ platform. Designed to support petrol, diesel, hybrid, and fully electric powertrains, the sub-4-meter SUV is anticipated to launch by Q1 2027 and will sit above the XUV 3XO.

Patent filings and spy shots reveal boxy proportions, an upright front fascia, square wheel arches, flush door handles, muscular body panels, and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel. Higher trims will pack a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, wireless charging, a 360-degree camera setup, and Level-2 ADAS. Next in line is the Mahindra BE 07, expanding the brand’s born-electric INGLO platform alongside the BE 6, XEV 9e, and XEV 9S. Slated for a Q1 2027 release, the BE 07 sports a sharp, angular silhouette with frameless doors and pop-out flush door handles.

Inside, it boasts a triple screen layout, digital IRVM, ventilated seats, immersive ambient lighting, a premium audio setup, auto parking, Adrenox connectivity, and Level-2+ ADAS. Battery choices are expected to mirror the BE 6 with 59 kWh and 79 kWh units, putting it in direct competition with the Harrier EV, BYD Atto 3, and VinFast VF7. Rounding out the trio is the Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler, the production evolution of the Global Pik Up concept shown in 2023. Built on the rugged ladder-frame chassis of the Scorpio N SUV and utilizing the same powertrain options, the lifestyle truck aims to rival models like the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max V-Cross across both domestic and international markets.

Mahindra has confirmed that the Scorpio Lifestyler will start below Rs 19.79 lakh (ex-showroom). To keep pace with demand, Mahindra’s executive director and CEO Rajesh Jejurikar stated that the company is currently operating above full capacity. Current combined SUV and EV production stands at 68,000 units per month as of September 2026, and is scheduled to climb to 82,000 units per month by FY27—broken down into 70,000 ICE SUVs and 12,000 EVs. This ramp-up incorporates capacity for the incoming models.

Furthermore, an extra 10,000 units of monthly capacity will be added at the Chakan plant specifically for NU_IQ-based cars, pushing total capacity to 92,000 units per month by March 2028. Looking further ahead, a new facility in Nagpur is targeted to add 20,000 units of monthly capacity by September 2029, with another 20,000 units slated for the same plant by September 2030.
