Aston Martin’s new Valhalla Spider, the convertible version of the brand’s flagship supercar, can reach a top speed of 217 mph when the soft‑cloth roof is retracted.
With the roof up, the top speed drops to 124 mph, a 93‑mph difference that the manufacturer attributes to aerodynamic changes and electronic tweaks.
The Spider shares almost all of the coupe’s components, including the flat‑plane 4.0‑liter twin‑turbo V8, three electric motors, and a 6.1‑kWh battery that delivers 1,064 HP and 8.7 miles of pure‑electric range. The plug‑in hybrid can accelerate from 0‑60 in 2.5 seconds and still hit 217 mph roof‑off.

The car features a removable soft‑cloth roof that can be rolled up and stored inside the vehicle, and a carbon‑fiber hardtop is also available, though it cannot be stowed. A sensor detects the roof state and limits the speed to 124 mph when the top is on.

Additional aerodynamic aids include a wind deflector that folds into three parts and stows in the sill cubbies, keeping the cabin comfortable.
Inside, the Spider comes standard with trim‑specific touring seats, making it a practical GT for road trips, while owners can keep the more aggressive carbon‑fiber bucket seats at no extra cost.

The Valhalla Spider will debut at the 2026 Concours at Wynn Las Vegas; pricing has not yet been announced, though the coupe starts at $1,051,700.
