Canadian EV charging operator Hypercharge Networks has expanded its footprint in the United States by acquiring REVS Charging, a Texas-based provider of turnkey Level 2 electric vehicle charging solutions for commercial, multifamily, condominium, and hospitality properties. This strategic buyout equips Hypercharge with an established American business, valuable customer relationships, local operating capabilities, and a solid platform for broader North American expansion. Prior to the deal, Hypercharge already maintained charging stations across 14 US states.

REVS brings a substantial footprint of its own, owning over 500 Level 2 charging ports while operating another 700 customer-owned charging ports throughout the United States. With this integration, Hypercharge’s total network footprint scales to over 10,000 charging ports across North America. Financial details indicate that REVS pulls in over C$1 million in annual charging and services revenue.

Hypercharge CEO David Bibby noted that the acquisition marks a critical milestone in the company’s growth strategy. Bibby explained that operating as a Canadian entity required navigating shifting trade policies and tariffs, meaning that boots-on-the-ground US operations provide greater flexibility for customer service, partnership building, and equipment sourcing. By blending REVS’ infrastructure management experience with Hypercharge’s proprietary technology, purchasing power, and operational muscle, the combined business establishes a robust baseline to scale further across the US market. Hypercharge intends to keep scouting additional acquisition targets across North America.
