Zero Motorcycles is addressing the growing shift among young riders from traditional combustion motorcycles to electric options with its new Project Ventura Supermoto. The company’s long‑standing focus on electric powertrains has led to the low‑cost XE and XB models, which helped attract younger riders and lower the barrier to entry. However, many riders now seek a street‑capable electric bike that offers more power and everyday practicality.

Project Ventura is designed to fill that niche. While full specifications are not yet released, Zero has announced that the bike will deliver over 20 kW of power (equivalent to more than 26.8 HP), an estimated 75‑mile real‑world range, a sustained top speed of 65 mph, and a brief peak top speed of 85 mph. The price point is projected to be under USD 8,000, and the bike will be able to carry a pillion passenger, adding to its appeal as a daily street runabout.

Zero’s track record in the electric motorcycle market suggests that the company can deliver on these promises. The production version of Project Ventura is expected to arrive in summer 2027, according to the company’s estimates.

For young riders who have outgrown basic e‑bikes but are not yet ready for high‑performance electric street bikes, Project Ventura could offer an attractive, affordable option that balances power, range, and practicality. The bike’s design also hints at a “cool” street‑bike vibe, potentially appealing to a broader audience beyond just youth riders.
