Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles achieved its highest-ever monthly sales in October 2026, crossing the 75,000 mark for cars and SUVs with combined domestic and international volumes reaching 75,426 units. This represented a 23.05% total sales increase over the 61,295 units recorded in October 2025, adding 14,131 units year-on-year. Domestic passenger vehicle sales grew 20.87% to reach 73,894 units compared to 61,134 units in October 2025, an increase of 12,760 units. Month-on-month, domestic sales improved by 7.39% over September 2026’s 68,810 units, adding 5,084 units.
When including exports, total October sales grew 7.43% compared to September’s 70,210 units. Electric vehicle volumes were a major growth driver, surging nearly 75% (74.93%) to 16,244 units compared to 9,286 units in the same month last year, marking an increase of 6,958 units. Sequentially, EV volumes climbed 5.59% from September’s 15,384 units. EVs accounted for approximately 21.54% of Tata’s total passenger vehicle sales, up from about 15.15% in October 2025.

Among the EV lineup, the Punch EV surpassed the 5,000-unit monthly sales milestone, which Tata noted is its first standalone EV product to reach this level. Tata reported that demand for both electric and CNG vehicles exceeded available supply, leading to record-high monthly bookings. The company is actively scaling up supply to meet this high demand. Passenger vehicle exports reached 1,532 units, skyrocketing 851.55% from 161 units in October 2025 against a low base, and rising 9.43% compared to September’s 1,400 units.

Overseas shipments represented roughly 2.03% of total passenger vehicle volumes in October. Tata stated that its overall sales growth of about 23% outpaced the estimated industry growth of around 10% for the month, bolstered by a strong multi-powertrain portfolio and robust retail position.
