Blink Charging has rebranded itself as Blink Energy to signal a broader focus that now includes energy management and battery storage solutions. The company already operates more than 48,000 networked EV chargers worldwide, giving it a solid base to roll out new software and storage offerings to existing and prospective customers.

Blink’s EnergyConnect platform works alongside its chargers to balance charging loads in real time, manage peak demand, and help sites add more chargers within their current electrical capacity. EnergyConnect is live at 52 Blink‑owned DC fast‑charging sites, 26 of which use load‑management to control demand.
Early utility billing data shows the technology can lower peak demand; one site saw a 23 % drop in billed peak demand within the first month of implementation. Blink plans to make EnergyConnect available to its broader customer base in the US and Europe and has identified several sites where it will deploy battery storage.

“EV charging remains at the core of our business, and our charging footprint gives us a strong foundation to address the energy challenges our customers face,” said President and CEO Mike Battaglia. The company sees the move as a way to combine charging, energy management and battery storage to meet customer needs and build a recurring‑revenue business.
