2027 Kia EV9: A Three-Row Electric SUV with Serious Range and Towing Chops

Kia is expanding its electric lineup with the 2027 EV9, a three-row SUV that shares its platform with the upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 7.

The EV9 is available in rear- or all-wheel drive, with the latter boasting a 379-HP dual-motor powertrain.

The all-wheel-drive and rear-drive Long Range models come with a 99.8-kWh battery, estimated to deliver 304 miles of range with the single-motor setup, according to the EPA. The standard rear-wheel-drive EV9 has a 76.1-kWh battery, with an EPA-estimated 230 miles of range. With a maximum towing capacity of 5000 pounds, the EV9 is a capable hauler. Its spacious third row of seats makes it an attractive option for growing families. Priced under $60,000, the EV9 is one of the few three-row EVs on the market at this price point.
