Aston Martin has revealed the Valhalla Spider, a £1.3 million roadster that boasts a top speed of 217mph, making it the fastest Aston Martin convertible yet.
The Valhalla Spider is expected to account for a quarter of the 999-unit production run and will command a 40% premium over the coupé.

Despite its high price, the Spider will play a significant role in boosting Aston’s average selling price as the company strives for better profits.

The Valhalla Spider features a targa-style removable panel, a wind deflector, and a hybrid drivetrain that combines a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 and three electric motors, producing 1064bhp and 811lb ft of torque.
The roadster matches its fixed-roof sibling’s 2.5sec 0-62mph time and top speed, despite carrying an extra 25kg.
The Valhalla Spider retains the coupé’s advanced vehicle dynamics control system and movable bodywork elements, achieving the same maximum downforce of 600kg with the roof in place.
