The Xtracycle Swoop ASM is presented as a top-tier cargo e-bike, featuring a Shimano EP6 Cargo mid-drive motor and a 630Wh Shimano battery. The system offers up to 60 miles (96 km) of range, and both the motor and battery are UL-listed. It is a Class 3 electric cargo bike capable of reaching 28 mph (45 km/h).

Hardware specs include a 24-inch front wheel with a suspension fork, a smaller 20-inch rear wheel, and 2.4-inch Maxxis Metroloads on both wheels.
Stopping power comes via Tektro four-piston hydraulic disc brakes, while the drivetrain utilizes a Shimano CUES Di2 10-speed setup with automatic electronic shifting.

The reviewer highlights that the Shimano automatic shifting system excels by automatically downshifting when the bike stops, resolving the issue of starting off in a high gear while heavily loaded.

The bike accommodates a passenger corral rated as a 2+ setup, which was tested carrying kids and over 100 pounds of Jackery solar generators.
Xtracycle includes much of the family-hauling equipment in the package rather than charging extra, along with robust accessories like large panniers.
Additional features include integrated lighting, an adjustable stem, a dropper seat post for easy footing at stops, and a simple Shimano display showing battery level, speed, gear position, and selectable data like remaining range, odometer, and trip distance. Manual control of the Di2 drivetrain via right handlebar buttons is also available.
