Land Rover has announced a significant price cut for its locally assembled Defender 110 X‑Dynamic HSE models in India, bringing the 2.0‑litre turbo‑petrol variant down to Rs 99 lakh ex‑showroom New Delhi and the 3.0‑litre turbo‑petrol and diesel versions to Rs 1.18 crore. The 2.0‑litre 300 HP engine now costs Rs 99 lakh, a reduction of Rs 14 lakh from the previous Rs 1.13 crore price, while the 3.0‑litre 400 HP petrol and 350 HP diesel engines each drop from Rs 1.52 crore to Rs 1.18 crore, a Rs 34 lakh savings. These cuts translate to a 12.39 % discount on the 2.0‑litre model and a 22.37 % discount on both 3.0‑litre variants.

The price reductions come with a broadened standard equipment package. The 2.0‑litre petrol model now includes adaptive off‑road cruise control, air suspension with adaptive dynamics, three‑zone climate control, an air purifier, a front centre‑console refrigerator, and 14‑way electrically adjustable front seats with heating, cooling and memory functions. Additional standard items are headlight washers, a spare‑wheel lock, a body‑coloured spare‑wheel cover and manually operated third‑row seats.
The 3.0‑litre petrol and diesel variants receive previously optional features worth up to Rs 17 lakh as standard. Highlights include 20‑inch wheels, illuminated metal treadplates, an electronic active differential with torque vectoring, four‑way manually adjustable winged headrests, manual slide and recline functions for the second row, heated third‑row seats, a suede headliner, three‑zone climate control with rear cooling, a Meridian surround‑sound system and a head‑up display.

The locally assembled Defender joins JLR’s existing Indian portfolio that includes select versions of the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Velar, Range Rover Evoque and Discovery Sport. Defender was JLR India’s best‑selling model in FY2026, and together with the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport it accounted for more than 80 % of the company’s Indian sales that year. With the new pricing and expanded standard kit, the Defender 110 strengthens JLR’s offering in the luxury SUV segment. Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin on 15 November.
