Dodge has pulled the plug on the 2027 Charger EV’s sluggish sales by jacking up the price of the Charger Daytona Scat Pack by $12,500, pushing it past $72,000.
The move leaves the gas-powered Charger lineup untouched, with prices holding firm at $49,995 for the base R/T trim.

The EV’s new sticker sits at $72,495 for the 2-Door model and $72,995 for the 4-Door, marking a deliberate attempt to throttle demand for the slow-selling electric muscle car.

The price gap between gas and electric Chargers is now a chasm, with the ICE models starting at $49,995 while the EV’s entry point is a steep $22,500 higher.
Dodge isn’t just punishing the EV with a price hike—it’s also rolling out fresh personalization options across the lineup.
The 2027 Charger gets 25 new customization choices, including a Satin Black painted hood for ICE models, dual stripes in Satin White, Satin Black, and Gloss Red, and expanded graphic options like “Charger” blade stripes and strobe stripes.
A new Mopar accessory glass roof sunshade and Demonic Red seat belts add flair, while Brembo brakes now come with orange and black calipers for the Scat Pack.

Inside, Scat Pack models can be decked out in Petrol Blue leather sport seats with “Digital Slash” perforation and red contrast stitching, a bold departure from the usual black or red.

Under the hood, the gas-powered Charger R/T packs a twin-turbo 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six churning out 420 hp and 468 lb-ft of torque, good for a 0-60 mph sprint in 4.6 seconds and a quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds.

The Scat Pack steps up to 550 hp and 531 lb-ft, cutting the 0-60 time to 3.9 seconds and the quarter-mile to 12.2 seconds.
The Charger Daytona Scat Pack, meanwhile, flexes a dual-motor AWD setup with 670 hp and 627 lb-ft, blasting to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and through the quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds.
But the EV’s party trick—brutal acceleration—comes with a major caveat: its 267-mile EPA-estimated range is strictly for short hauls. Dodge has also equipped the EV with a native NACS port, aligning it with Tesla’s charging network. Orders for the 2027 Charger are open now, with deliveries slated for Q3 2027.
