GooLoo GT6000 Portable Jump Starter Review

Portable jump starters have become essential car gear since 2020, offering a reliable way to get rolling again without needing cables or another vehicle. Even EV owners need them because 12-volt auxiliary batteries can still fail. GooLoo sent over the GT6000, a heavy-duty 6,000A jump starter built for serious power demands. According to GooLoo, it can start any gasoline engine and diesels up to 12.0 liters in seconds.

The unit supports 100W fast charging, going from empty to a full charge in about 1.4 hours, while a roughly seven-minute charge provides enough juice for a jump.

It packs a 27,000 mAh (99.9 Wh) capacity, making it chunky but useful as a power bank for laptops and other devices.

Connectivity features three USB ports and an accessory lead capable of powering 15V or 12V DC devices like tire inflators or small inverters.

A 3.2-inch LED display on top shows status and remaining charge, though it can wash out in direct sunlight. A 400-lumen LED light on one end provides flashlight, SOS, and strobe modes. GooLoo estimates over 70 jump-starts per full charge and a 24-month standby window. In practical testing over two weeks, the unit showed no meaningful drop in charge.

Operation is straightforward: plug the clamp cable into the booster, attach the clamps to the battery, and start the car.

The GT4000 costs about twenty dollars less than the GT6000, but drops capacity to 24,000 mAh (88.8 Wh).

The GT6000 offers more capability than most average drivers need, but provides massive headroom, extra cold-weather performance, and multi-use versatility.
