Honda brought out a concept design called the CBR500R FOUR Racing Color for this year’s CIMA display. This show bike goes beyond a standard HRC Castrol paint and graphics job on a normal CBR500R Four by adding front and rear winglets. The styling is influenced by the RC213V, though it is not identical. Honda applied IBM logos to the CBR500R FOUR Racing Color show bike, but their size, orientation, and placement differ entirely from the race bike livery it emulates. Other paint and graphics choices also vary slightly due to the different fairing and winglet shapes between the MotoGP machine and the half-liter inline four. The windscreen features a significantly different shape as well. Some styling differences stem from the stock CBR500R FOUR and the RC213V, but the winglet size and shape on the replica are notably outsized compared to the race bike. It remains unclear whether Honda will bring the RACE COLOR concept to market in China or anywhere else.
