Suzuki has rolled out the 2027 RM-Z450 motocrosser with a raft of updates, all timed to celebrate Ken Roczen’s 2026 Monster Energy AMA Supercross 450SX title. The headline change is a price hike—MSRP now sits at $9,699, a $300 increase over the 2026 model—but the mechanical and component upgrades justify the move.

The biggest mechanical refresh lands on the suspension: new KYB units front and rear, with the fork now offering full damping adjustment (spring preload remains fixed) and the shock retaining full adjustability plus linkage assistance. Suzuki says the goal is a more compliant ride.

Airflow to the 44mm throttle body is improved via a reshaped air cleaner outlet, promising sharper throttle response across the rev range. The exhaust system has been reworked to meet AMA and FIM sound limits, with the muffler now bolting to a narrower subframe.

Rolling stock gets an upgrade too: RK Excel rims replace the previous wheels, while Bridgestone Battlecross X30 tires stay on. The 2027 RM-Z450 arrives with the RM-Z Champion Edition package as standard if purchased by September 30, adding a Pro Circuit RM Army Edition T-6 full exhaust (stainless header, titanium muffler, carbon-fiber end cap) and Ken Roczen’s signature graphics kit.

The Champion Edition extras carry a retail value of $1,350 and ship after retail registration; installation isn’t included. Suzuki is also dangling financing at 8.99% APR for 60 months on approved credit, plus a $250 military/first-responder discount, both valid through September 30.

The 2027 RM-Z450 retains its 449cc single-cylinder engine with DOHC, 12.5:1 compression, and a wet multiplate clutch, mated to a five-speed transmission and kick-start only. Chassis dimensions remain largely unchanged: 58.3-inch wheelbase, 37.8-inch seat height, and 247-pound wet weight. The color scheme sticks with Champion Yellow No. 2.
