Danfoss, a Danish industrial technology group, has inked an exclusivity deal to acquire Alfagomma, an Italian manufacturer of rubber hoses, fittings, couplings, and connectors. Headquartered in Lombardy, Italy, Alfagomma racks up €600 million in annual sales and employs 4,500 people across 28 global production and assembly sites, Danfoss revealed on 12 June. The acquisition is slated to close under Danfoss’ Leap 2030 strategy, which targets accelerated profitable growth in the fluid conveyance division. Once finalized, the tie-up will fuse Alfagomma with Danfoss’ existing fluid conveyance operations to create a global leader in hydraulic and industrial hose manufacturing and distribution. Danfoss has been aggressively expanding its fluid conveyance footprint since 2021, notably snapping up Eaton’s Hydraulics business and Hydro Holding SpA in Italy during December 2025. The Hydro Holding unit was folded into Danfoss’ fluid conveyance division under a new business unit named ‘hydro holding.’ Beyond acquisitions, Danfoss has also plowed investment into new equipment, technology, and infrastructure across the segment in recent years. “Today, fluid conveyance is a core and fast-growing business within Danfoss Power Solutions,” the group stated. Both companies will continue to operate independently during the transition to preserve continuity for customers, suppliers, and employees. Danfoss has maintained a presence in Italy since 1961 and currently operates 14 sites with 1,100 employees there. Italy is viewed as a strategic cornerstone for future expansion, with Danfoss pledging long-term commitment to bolster local operations, reinforce the industrial base, and ensure stability and growth.
