Icon 4×4’s Chevrolet C10 may look like a vintage truck, but it’s actually a brand-new Silverado in disguise. The company’s C Modern Retro Series takes a new Silverado 4×4, strips it down, and reskins it with the body of a 1967-1972 C10. The result is a truck that wears vintage sheetmetal but carries a modern Silverado’s suspension, brakes, and full towing credentials. The price tag for this unique vehicle starts at $450,000 for the Derelict series model, which features a dated C10 body with original paint and large rusted areas. The Old School series model, which completely restores the original body and includes a fresh new paint job, starts at $500,000. Both prices exclude the donor C10 or C20. The cabin of the C Modern Retro Series retains most of the original style and look but adds modern conveniences such as proper sound deadening, custom-machined aluminum dash panels, power door locks, and power windows. The vehicle also features a small infotainment display and controls lifted from a modern Silverado. Icon 4×4 will build the C Modern Retro Series to order, with one special example to be created through the company’s Omakase Special program.
