ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team Falls Short of Expectations

The ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team had a disappointing weekend at the ninth round of the 2026 FIM Superbike World Championship at Magny-Cours, France. Despite a promising test in August, the team struggled to find the optimal performance window for the BMW M 1000 RR. Riders Danilo Petrucci and Miguel Oliveira had to fight hard for positions and points, with Petrucci finishing 13th in the first feature race and Oliveira retiring after a crash. The team made progress on Sunday, with Oliveira gaining seven positions in the Superpole race to finish 12th, but the hoped-for major step forward failed to materialise. Petrucci finished 12th in the second feature race, while Oliveira was classified 15th after being handed a penalty for cutting Turn 6. The team will now begin preparations for the next round at Cremona, Italy, conducting intensive analyses of the information gathered in France.
