Lamborghini’s 2027 Urus Performante Gains 146 HP But Still Can’t Beat the Old One to 62 MPH

Lamborghini has resurrected the Urus Performante for 2027 with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, adding 146 horsepower to push total output to 801 HP.

The twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 works with an electric motor integrated into the ZF eight-speed transmission to deliver 801 HP (812 PS) and 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque, making it the most powerful factory-spec Urus ever.

Despite the extra power, the new Performante still sprints to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.3 seconds—exactly the same time as the outgoing non-hybrid Performante, which had just 657 HP (666 PS) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm).

The hybrid system adds significant weight, with the new model tipping the scales at 5,452 lbs (2,473 kg), a 323 kg (712 lb) increase over the old Performante.

Lamborghini claims a weight-to-power ratio of 6.8 lbs per HP (3 kg per PS) and a WLTP electric-only range of 37 miles (60 km).

The chassis has been heavily revised, with a new AURA dual-chamber air suspension system that reduces body roll by 55% during spirited driving and cuts comfort-related vibrations by 25%. The track has been widened by 16 mm (0.63 inches) for better stability and steering precision.

Aerodynamic upgrades include a redesigned hood with S-duct air channels, larger cooling openings, a taller rear spoiler, and the largest diffuser ever fitted to an Urus, cutting drag by 3% and increasing downforce by 23%.

Inside, the cabin features more exposed carbon fiber, a redesigned 12.3-inch infotainment display, aviation-inspired controls, and Lamborghini’s “Feel Like a Pilot” theme. A new Rally drive mode joins the existing Strada, Sport, Corsa, and EV modes.

Lamborghini has not confirmed a price or US on-sale date, but the Urus Performante SE is expected to arrive at dealers in early 2027 with a sticker close to $300,000.
