Lamborghini has turned up the heat on its Urus SE with a new Performante PHEV variant for 2027, packing 801 horsepower and a raft of chassis upgrades aimed at sharpening dynamics without sacrificing daily usability.

The headline number is the V8 plug-in hybrid’s output: a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 mated to a permanent-magnet electric motor ahead of the gearbox and a 25.9-kWh battery under the floor now delivers 801 HP and 737 lb-ft of torque, up from the standard Urus SE’s 789 HP and 700 lb-ft.

Lamborghini claims a tenth of a second shaved off the 0–62 mph sprint, bringing it to 3.3 seconds, while top speed remains locked at 194 mph.

The Performante also trims 70 lb from the curb weight, landing at 5,452 lb thanks to extensive carbon-fiber body panels—including the hood, roof, wheel arches, side skirts and rear diffuser—and a fully titanium Akrapovic exhaust system.

The headline mechanical upgrades center on a new dual-chamber air-spring setup and dual-valve dampers that let the SUV toggle between razor-sharp track precision and plush daily comfort.

An always-active upper chamber handles dynamics and track driving, while a lower chamber activates in comfort-focused modes; when both are linked, Lamborghini says the combined volume delivers a markedly smoother ride than the single-chamber setup on the standard Urus SE.

The Performante also debuts a dedicated Rally mode, first previewed on the Huracán Sterrato, for maximizing fun on loose surfaces.

Braking gets a 10% power boost and 12% quicker response via the latest 6D body sensor and Integrated Power Brake system, which uses a network of sensors to monitor speed, body angle and tire grip.

The titanium exhaust ditches the old X-pipe in favor of individual runs for each cylinder bank to reduce turbulence and improve flow, promising a more thrilling soundtrack.

Exterior changes are unmistakable: a carbon-fiber hood with a power dome and twin nostrils, a wider and more aggressive front bumper, a new rear diffuser and a roof-mounted wing paired with a tailgate spoiler that cranks up the ‘tech-bro fantasy’ vibe.

Despite its track-focused aspirations, the Performante remains a five-seat SUV, making it just as practical for school runs and grocery hauls as it is for backroad blasts.
