Familiar strength at a new level: the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class stays true to itself — and takes a leap forward

Mercedes-Benz has unleashed the most comprehensive technical upgrade in C-Class history, rolling out refreshed internal-combustion C-Class sedans and T-Models just after the electric C-Class launched in Europe. The headline change is a sharper, more athletic body with an expressive light signature that gives the car greater presence on the road. Inside, the cabin steps up in quality with premium materials, new comfort features, and personalized digital experiences delivered by MB.OS and over-the-air updates. The range is anchored by electrified high-tech petrol, diesel, and plug-in hybrid powertrains, all engineered for efficiency, performance, and Euro 7 compliance.

Plug-in models can cover up to 100 km on electricity alone (WLTP), making urban commuting effortless. Advanced driver-assistance tech includes automatic lane changes on the motorway, predictive braking at traffic lights and stop signs, and assisted parking. Orders open on 18 August 2026 in Germany, with prices starting at €41,045 excluding VAT or €48,844 including VAT for the C 200 sedan. The C 200 sedan’s combined energy consumption is 6.8–6.2 L/100 km and CO₂ emissions are 156–141 g/km (CO₂ class F–E).

The refreshed C-Class also debuts a new grille with a prominent chrome frame and illuminated contour, double-star headlamps, and a powerful front bumper. Inside, two new paint colours, three new trim elements, and an evolved Burmester 3D surround-sound system with greater spatial depth enhance the cabin’s ambience. The rear-axle steering (up to 2.5°) cuts the turning circle by 43 cm to 10.64 m, aiding tight parking and low-speed manoeuvring while improving high-speed stability. The latest MBUX infotainment features a voice-activated MBUX Virtual Assistant that understands natural conversation, remembers context, and responds in a conversational tone.

All systems are managed by MB.OS, which supports over-the-air updates to keep the car fresh long after delivery. Mercedes-Benz says the new C-Class proves continuity and innovation can coexist, offering drivers reliability they trust and technology that delivers real-world benefits every day.
