The five‑door Changan Lumin Plus has reached dealers across China ahead of its scheduled launch in November 2026. The new variant extends the original Lumin by 245 mm, giving the rear seats more legroom. The elongated model keeps the three‑door Lumin’s signature circular headlights, large air intake, fuzzy rims, and cute taillight units, but adds real door handles and a blackened pillar design. Exact dimensions are 3515 mm in length, 1715 mm in width, 1545 mm in height, with a 2200 mm wheelbase – a 245 mm increase over the three‑door version.

Inside, the Lumin Plus features a touchscreen on the center console, a gear shifter behind the wheel, an LCD instrument cluster, and window switches in the center tunnel. A D‑shaped three‑spoke steering wheel is also present. The rear seats fold flat with a 5/5 ratio. The car is finished in silver with a brown interior.

Under the hood, the Lumin Plus is powered by a single electric motor that delivers a peak power output of 35 kW (47 HP). No battery options are disclosed, but the CLTC range is quoted between 205 and 301 km, translating to approximately 168–247 km under WLTP conditions.

The original three‑door Changan Lumin EV debuted in China in June 2022 with a starting price of 48,900 yuan (7,340 USD). Cumulatively, Changan has delivered 552,599 Lumin hatchbacks to owners in China. However, domestic deliveries from January to September 2026 totaled only 38,064 units, a 69.4% year‑over‑year decline. The shift toward larger five‑door EVs in China prompted Changan to introduce the elongated Lumin Plus. The Lumin Plus will officially enter the domestic market in November 2026.
