A few years ago I rode a Moto Guzzi V7 Stone and later a V9, both fun but never quite the Goldilocks fit for me. Now Moto Guzzi’s latest offering, The Trip, is a brand‑new 500cc platform that promises about 48 horsepower. The official unveiling will happen at EICMA 2026, where we’ll learn the full details.
From the first glance, The Trip feels like the most street‑ready Guzzi I’ve seen in the modern era. Compared to my Honda Hawk GT 650, it looks built for riders who want a stylish yet practical machine for everyday life. While power‑to‑weight ratios and 0‑60 times are great on the track, the real question is how it handles daily commutes.
The Trip’s curb weight is listed at 180 kilograms (just under 397 pounds) and the seat height at 790 mm (about 31 inches), making it accessible on paper. Features include a steel tank—ideal for magnetic tank bags—LED lighting, a 3.6‑inch circular TFT dash with Bluetooth connectivity, and backlit switchgear on the handlebars. These elements aim to improve safety and comfort on pre‑dawn or overnight rides.
Full specifications will be revealed when The Trip takes the stage at EICMA 2026. For now, the new 500cc naked is slated to arrive in three colorways: Black Metropolis, Green Grove, and Red Beat. Stay tuned for more details and consider whether this bike could be the perfect fit for your riding style.
