ATV Lock That Keeps Your Vehicle Safe From Theft

Fryars has unveiled an ATV lock that guarantees your vehicle won’t be stolen. The device doesn’t lock the key or engine; instead, it secures the entire wheel to the lock itself, grounding the ATV to the ground. The mechanism works by rolling the wheel onto the lock, setting it, and walking away. Once engaged, the wheel is locked to the lock, preventing cutting, moving, or leaving the machine. The lock is designed to sit against a wall—stone, brick, or wood—and is bolted into place so that the wall or concrete slab becomes an integral part of the system. This creates a catch‑22 for thieves: they cannot defeat the device without moving the quad, and they cannot move the quad without defeating the device.

The lock’s design also prevents thieves from simply removing the wheel or cutting a chain; to bypass it, one would have to cut the ATV’s axle, which would render the vehicle unusable and prevent it from being carted away. Exiting the lock is straightforward: a key fob releases the mechanism, allowing the owner to retrieve the ATV quickly.

While the lock is ideal for owners with farms or large estates who lack indoor storage, it also suits anyone who needs quick access to their powersport vehicle and often leaves it unattended. Fryars claims the system will also work on UTV tires, with a current maximum tire size of 25 inches and plans for additional sizes.

Price: The ATV lock is priced at £1,295, which is approximately $1,731. The cost reflects the peace of mind it offers by securing the vehicle in place without the need for a garage or shed.
