Entering its fifth year of production, the 2024 Yamaha Ténéré 700 arrives as a middleweight adventure bike built around a dirt-ready chassis and a 689cc CP2 parallel twin engine shared with the MT-07. Priced at $10,799 MSRP, the Ténéré 700 is available in Team Yamaha Blue and Shadow Gray.
Updates for this production year include a new TFT display, a three-mode ABS system, LED turn signals, and pre-wired connections for an optional accessory quickshifter. The engine features a crossplane crankshaft with an uneven firing interval, tuned specifically for strong low-rpm performance and slow off-road work while capable of hitting 100 mph without issue.

Keeping things mechanical and straightforward, the bike omits ride-by-wire, an IMU, power modes, traction control, and cruise control. The optional up-only quickshifter plugs directly into the factory wiring harness.

The three-mode ABS allows settings for both wheels on pavement, front wheel only, or fully off, though it resets to full activation whenever the ignition key is cycled. Braking is handled by Brembo calipers gripping twin 282mm front discs and a 245mm rear disc.
A vertical, rally-style 5-inch TFT display offers two themes, a right-thumb scroll wheel, and Bluetooth pairing via the Y-Connect smartphone app for call and text notifications. The suspension and chassis setup features wire-spoke 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires, paired with nearly fully adjustable KYB suspension providing about eight inches of travel at both ends.

Specifically, the front features a fully adjustable KYB 43mm inverted fork with 8.3 inches of travel, while the rear utilizes a link-assisted spring-preload and rebound-damping adjustable KYB shock with 7.9 inches of travel. The bike has a 34.4-inch seat height, a 62.8-inch wheelbase, a 27-degree rake, a 4.1-inch trail, 9.4 inches of ground clearance, a 4.2-gallon fuel capacity, and a curb weight of 452 pounds.

Yamaha offers alternative options including a low seat, a taller one-piece Rally seat, and a shock-linkage lowering kit.
