McLaren is selling five of its iconic Formula 1 cars, including two championship-winning MP4/6A models from 1991 and three modern cars driven by Lando Norris. The collection is being sold by British car retailer Tom Hartley Jnr, with prices not specified.

The two MP4/6A models, chassis numbers 04 and 07, were raced by Gerhard Berger and tested by Ayrton Senna, and retain their original naturally aspirated Honda V12 engines. The modern cars include a 2012 MP4/27A driven by Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton, a 2021 MCL35M driven by Lando Norris, and a 2023 MCL37A also driven by Norris.

The 2023 MCL37A was used for testing by several drivers, including Oscar Piastri, Mick Schumacher, and Valtteri Bottas, and was even driven by Brad Pitt. McLaren Racing chief executive Zak Brown stated that the cars are being sold as they feel it’s a disservice to have them simply sitting in storage.

The sale is likely to attract collectors and enthusiasts with deep pockets, as the prices are expected to be in the millions.
