Aprilia has pulled the wraps off the 2027 RS 660 Phillip Island Tribute, a limited-edition middleweight sportbike built to honor the iconic Australian circuit as it departs the MotoGP calendar. Carrying an MSRP of $11,999, the Tribute commands a modest $150 premium over the standard RS 660 and is scheduled to arrive at US dealers in the first quarter of 2027. Aprilia has not specified the exact production numbers for this commemorative model. Phillip Island has hosted the Australian Grand Prix every season since 1997, barring cancellations in 2020 and 2021.
However, the upcoming race weekend marks the final scheduled MotoGP event at the venue before the Australian round transitions to a street circuit in Adelaide in 2027. Over the years, Aprilia has claimed 10 Grand Prix wins at Phillip Island across all classes, alongside World Superbike victories with the RSV4. The most recent premier-class milestone came in 2025, when Raúl Fernández took the win on a Trackhouse Racing RS-GP, marking his first premier-class victory and Aprilia’s 300th in Grand Prix racing—a milestone the manufacturer says makes it the most successful European brand in GP history. The changes on the Phillip Island Tribute are strictly cosmetic, featuring a white base paired with green on the sides and tail section, alongside red wheels that mirror the colors of the circuit’s logo.

Side panels display the circuit layout logo above the words Phillip Island Circuit and a checkered flag. A dedicated fuel tank badge commemorates Aprilia’s total wins at the track, while an individual serial number is stamped on the top triple clamp. A single-seat tail cowl covering the passenger seat comes as standard equipment. Beneath the custom livery, the bike retains the standard 2027 RS 660 architecture.

Power comes from a 659cc parallel twin engine pushing out 105 horsepower at 10,400 rpm and 52 lb-ft of torque at 8400 rpm, acting as a stressed member within the aluminum twin-spar frame. The drivetrain features a 6-speed transmission equipped with a quickshifter and a slipper clutch. Suspension duties are handled by adjustable KYB components at both ends, offering spring preload and rebound damping. Braking relies on radial-mount Brembo 4-piston calipers clamping down on 320mm front discs, paired with a rear 220mm disc and Brembo 2-piston caliper.

A comprehensive six-axis IMU drives the electronics suite, which includes cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, engine-brake control, launch control, cruise control, and five selectable riding modes. Additional standard amenities include a 5-inch TFT display, backlit switchgear, LED lighting, and steel-braided brake lines. The machine features a 32.3-inch seat height, a 4.0-gallon fuel capacity, and a curb weight of 403 pounds. Aprilia will showcase the RS 660 Phillip Island Tribute publicly at EICMA in Milan from November 5 to 8.
